New Employee Director

We are proud to announce Joint Branch Secretary Jenny Alexander has been appointed Employee Director for NHS Tayside.

Jenny was elected by the Trade Unions and Organisations that sit on the NHS Tayside Area Partnership Forum. The appointment has been approved by Scottish Government.

Jenny has been involved with the NHS since the 1970s, working in different roles including a registered Mental Health nurse and Partnership Facilitator.

In her role as the newly elected Employee Director, Jenny will co-ordinate the Trade Unions and Organisations recognised by NHS Tayside.  She will be the voice for staff at strategic level and will co-chair the Area Partnership Forum along with the Chief Executive, Malcolm Wright.

Jenny has been committed to the Trade Union movement throughout her career, which involved working at all levels, including being a member of the Scottish Trade Union Council General Council.

Speaking about her new role, Jenny said, “I see this role as a challenge as NHS Tayside goes through significant change. However, I am looking forward to the challenge and working in partnership and embedding partnership principles throughout.”

Welcoming Jenny, Dr Annie Ingram, Director of Workforce said, “Jenny has a huge amount of experience and we both have high ambitions of what we can achieve working together in partnership.”
